Hello,
Ref: current eBay photo:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/310758929348?...348%26_rdc%3D1
This apparently is incorrectly identified by the seller as taken at Stavanger, Norway, when it was actually taken at Oslo-Fornebu, where II./KG4 was based during the second half of April, 1940, before transferring to Fassberg, Germany on May 2, 1940. This looks like the results of a ground collision, perhaps while landing. Many photos are known of this incident, but there is no clear identity for it in the Luft loss list.
The only good candidate I can find is:
"18 April 1940: II./KG4 Heinkel He111P-2. Wrecked in collision with Ju52s
of KGr.zbV 107 on landing at Oslo-Fornebu. No crew casualties. Aircraft 90% damaged – write-off."
Can anyone confirm this incident as the explanation for the photos of 5J+HP with its tail severed and doing a nose stand at Fornebu?
Any help would be appreciated.
