Re: JU 88 C or R with 2 diferent engines type on same plane
Hi all.
Plane in IWM image is standard Ju 88 D-1 (VS 11 and Jumo 211 F/J on both sides).
It was a "Westa" plane downed off Norway and has been mentioned and indentified recently here at TOCH!
I think that bottom section of right hand cowling perhaps be damaged, perhaps "blown partly out" (hanging partly loose) and thus showing so well. There is absolutely no cause for spectulations on that this has "two types of engines" and frankly am very surprised on it reaching 14 separate mails.
