Hello All
Regarding R. F. Baxter, I recall that Raymond Frederick Baxter presenter of BBC Tomorrow's World was in the Royal Air Force during WW 2.
He died 2006 and his newspaper Obituary is online. Internet sources say he flew Spitfires with 65 Squadron and was with 93 Squadron / in Sicily from 1943.
He also flew either as crew, or on various aircraft, or historic flights made after the war.
Apparently he was born in 1922 and joined the RAF at 18.
