Hello Michel !

You may already have answered your request, "info P-47 42-28925". If not, please note that this P-47, 406th FG, 513th FS was flown by 1st Lt. William T. Bell while an attack in the Thionville (France/Luxembourg frontier) area when the a/c was hit and crashed near Oetrange, about 9 km east of Luxembourg-City. Lt. Bell was able to clear his hitten P-47, but his chute failed to open an so he was killed at the impact.

The case is very well documented in John Derneden's very good book series "Crash", (Crashes and force-landings of Allied and German aircraft in Luxemburg 1940-45) issue # 2, pages 170-174.
