I've recently run into trouble going to some websites. What happens is that my computer just locks up and I sometimes am forced to manually hit the on button to shut down. Worse, to fully reset, I may have to literally pull the plug on my computer.
I discussed this situation with my tech expert. He suggested, since Internet Explorer was up to I.E. 11 and I was still using I.E. 8, that some websites may no longer have compatibility with I.E. 8 as the website designers do updates. He suggested using Mozilla Firefox instead. He talked me through to the latest update, which is 26, and this seems to have resolved my freezing issue.
I have no idea Ed if this is related, but you just might try going through Firefox and see if that works. Good luck.
