Re: Ju 87B Stuka and its bombs
So you mean the pilot could for example drop a single SC 50 bomb and then gain hight again with the SC 250 or SC 500 and the rest of 3 SC 50`s still under the fuselage/wings making later a second attack with the next single SC 50 and so on and so on? And at the end (5th diving attack) he could drop the biggest bomb of 250/500 kg?
I cannot imagine that the pilot could rise the Ju 87B from the first dive with 300 kg or 650 kg of bombs still on board.
As I saw in many documentaries (films) the biggest bomb was dropped at the first diving attack (or all 5 bombs together).
Maybe it was possible then to drop every single SC 50 bomb separately, but the question is, if it was used in this way. What about the stability of the airplane with 1 SC 50 kg under one wing and 2 SC 50 under another wing?
Any idea?
