Re: Fleet Air Arm strength in ww 2

A good starting point is to get a copy of Fleet Air Arm Aircraft 1939-45 by Ray Sturtivant and Mick Burrow, published by Air Britain Publications 1995 - ISBN 0 85130 232 7.

This book lists not only all the types including operational aircraft, trainers and ex-RAF types, but also the operational use and fate of each aircraft.

Hopefully your library may be able to obtain a copy if you cannot buy one.
