Seeking photos of FL He111 of 9./KG4, Poss 5J+ST near Piershil 1 mile E of Goudswaard, Netherlands, on 10.05.40
Hello,
I have three very poor photos with Dutch civilians that do not show any codes for this FL a/c , but none show the markings or a/c code. Has anyone located photography of this a/c that clearly shows these markings?
We currently carry this in the EoE LW Loss DB as:
* 10 May 1940: 9./KG4 Heinkel He111P-2 (1591). Starboard engine disabled by AA fire during low-level attack on Schiphol and further damaged in attacks by Fokker G1 of 3-II-1 (Sgt-Major Buwalda & Sgt Wagner) before belly-landing on Barendrecht Farm, off the Achterweg at Goudswaard, south-west of Rotterdam, 4.15 a.m. FF Lt Hans-Werner Paas and BO Uffz Walter Hufnagel both captured unhurt, BM Uffz Franz Lewandofski and BF Obergefr Erich Stölzel both captured wounded and admitted to the Kantonnements hospital at Oud–Beijerland, all later released. Aircraft 5J+ST 100% write-off. (Paas account via WdM)
Who has good photography of this FL a/c?
Regards,
Larry Hickey
