In 1943 various German fighter units in the East operated together with Ungarn fighter units. German pilots involved were awarded with 'Ritterkreuz des Ung. Verdienstordens mit Schwertern' (issued in Budapest) and ungar. Auszeichnung ('fliegender goldene Adler mit ungar. Krone').
