[Erg.Offz.Anwärter?]. 01.11.36 promo to Hptm.d.Lw. 01.12.36 promo to Maj.(E) and assigned to LK Kdo VI (E.O.). 01.04.39 trf to Stab/Luftzeuggruppe See. 01.08.39 promo to Obstlt.(Erg.O.), in Stab/Luftzeuggruppe (Bootswesen) See (to 28.02.42). 1941 trf to KSG 2 and assigned to Gruppehlehr-Gr. III (or appt Gruppenleiter Gruppe III?). 24.06.41 appt Gruppenleiter Gr. III due to unit renaming. 01.03.42 promo to Oberst and trf to Kdo.d.Schiffen u. Boote d.Lw. 17.10.42 trf to Kdo.d.Schiffen u. Boote d.Lw.Kiel as Gr. Leiter III (still 15.10.44). 21.12.44 Oberst, Kdr. Seenotflotille 60 (Pillau). 15.02.45 trf to Kdo.Lw.Versorgung See as Gruppenleiter.
