Air Allied mission on Courtalain (France) 6 August 1944
Bonjour,

On 6 August 1944, an Allied unit occured a very successful mission on the rail road bridge of Courtalain ((130 km South West of Paris, South of Chartres / West of Châteaudun (Eure et Loir). Courtalain was a key point, a rail junction point between Bordeaux – Chartres main rail line and Normandy – Brittany and Paris Orleans areas too

Please which Allied unit (9th AAF ?) occurred such a successful mission ? How many a/c were involved ? etc ...
