Chris I have two different sources (but maybe using the same primary source) saying that the interception was 118 miles east of Montrose, not 18. 118 miles is maybe a little too precise for such a long distance over sea, but 18 means that the Ju 88 on a weather reco really got close to the Scottish coast.
