Interesting picture.
I read in a Dutch newspaper of that time that the "Kamikaze" had to land at Detmold because of bad weather...
It also says that the aviators received an enthusiastic welcome.
The record plane was on its way from Brussels (departure time 12.15 p.m.) to Berlin-Tempelhof, and had left Detmold at 16.14 p.m.
In Brussels the pilots had met the King of Belgium, Leopold.
