He's another Do17 crash that we're trying to ID for the EoE Project that took place during the WC/FC. The codes are ??+FH or FR. This is not 5K+FH of 1./KG3. It might be U5+FR of 7./KG2, although it doesn't have a KG2 nose band. Some KG2 a/c didn't always carry these. This does not have the fuselage band for KG76 right behind the wings, so it probably isn't from that unit. Note the hills in the background that are suggestive of the Ardennes. The soldiers are French, so this was probably taken in France. This photo could have originated from the SHA-D Collection but I don't know that.
Does anyone have any information that would help us ID this incident, or other photos of the event?
