 Hi Peter,and thanks for the info - sounds convincing, but after a quick online check (ja, ja, I know) it seems that 0974 was captured at Prague and later used by the Czechoslovak air force. That's a little confusing ...
 
 I also wouldn't throw away the TS+??-theory that fast. According to stammkennzeichen.de it seems that the block TS+NA to +NJ was allocated to some Ju 86s of different variants that served with different radio or navigation schools (probably all with LNS Halle initially). NA, NC, ND, NG and NJ are listed as being of non-matching sub-variants, but the others I think are valid options:
 
 TS+NB - no further info on identity or variant
 TS+NE - no further info on identity or variant
 TS+NF - no further info on identity or variant
 TS+NH - Werknr. 5017
 TS+NI - Werknr. 277
