Wüstennotstaffel article available

Hi everyone,

I'm really happy to announce that Part One of Adam and my Wüstennotstaffel article is now available from the following location (scroll down to the bottom): http://www.airwarpublications.com/earticles

It is a 6,000 word, 24 page article, so the two parts will provide a detailed history of the Wüstennotstaffel. Part One covers the formation of the unit, profiles its leader (Ritterkreuz-winner Heinz Kroseberg), and details Wüstennotstaffel operations between June 1941 and May 1942, including plenty of desert and sea rescues, searches for Allied special forces, VIP transport, and more. Morten has created two very nice maps, there is a camo and markings text box, and Angel Sanchez provided two Fi 156 profiles.

We were especially glad to co-operate closely with the family of Heinz Kroseberg. That allowed us to include several of his photographs, as well as numerous first-hand accounts. Almost nothing has been published about Heinz Kroseberg in the past, so this will be the first time that his story has been told in any kind of detail.

Thanks to the many 12OCH members who helped (too many to list here, but you are all in the acknowledgments).

Part Two is about to be laid out, and will be available later in the year. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy Part One.

Cheers,
Andrew A.
