However never said anything about my own speed in relation to the headwind...
. It was quite a bit faster in the good old days, and at least in relation to the bike now mostly has turned into just old days....
In my own mind Gothenburg, where I live (sometimes called Little London) should be called Little Chicago due to this d..n headwind. Strangely it makes no difference to where I route myself, its always a headwind, even when I turn back...
Give up biking? Nahh, never!!

PS: Tried to find out when the measurement meter/sec was first used. Failed.
However, it seems to be quite a convenient measurement since you can measure it largely with your eyes (if you practice a bit), so I am positive it goes back in history quite a while.
