RAF/RCAF loss Berlin 22-24.11.1943 crash into department store KDW

Hello all!
The website of the famous big department store KDW (KaDeWe, Kaufhaus des Westens states that in November 1943 the KDW building was almost destroyed due to an 'AMERICAN' plane that crashed into the roof/backyard ('Lichthof').
I am sure, that it wasn't an american A/C, but a british (or RCAF) one.
Other websites give a timeframe of 22.-24.11.1943 for that incident, corresponding to the 2 very heavy Berlin raids by RAF.
Could someone identify this lost aircraft?
Bomber command diary mentions the following losses:
22/23.11.1943 11 Lancaster, 10 Halifax, 5 Stirling
23/24.11.1943 20 Lancaster

KDW after incident:

thank you kindly,
FrankieS
