Hi,

WNr. 10842 is listed in the original Allied report as: "Me 109 10842, Tail section only found." The location is given as Map Reference K. 0028, which, using a convertor provided by a colleague, should be 36.5572 N 10.0655 E, south of Mohammedia and quite some distance from El Aouina.

If the aircraft was indeed found at El Aouina, it could not have been found on 29 April 1943, because Tunis and El Aouina did not fall until 7 May 1943. On 29 April the frontline was still some way west of Tunis and El Aouina.
