Re: 235 sqaudron crash 1945
It was indeed RS576/VV-W that was shot down by flak on 23 March 45. 12 aircraft from 235 Sqn. with Mosquitos from 143 and 248 Squadrons attacked shipping in Dals Fjord. Squadron Leader Reid and his navigator, Flying Officer Turner who led the force was seen to crash in to the sea after attacking a motor vessel of 4000-5000 tons. Ref: AIR 27/1444 235 Sqn.
