just to satisfy my curiosity: what is your source of your information about this Rechkalov´s claim? According to the most authoritative and recent source on VVS aces, Mikhail Bykov´s "Vse Asy Stalina, 1936-1953", Rechkalov made no claim on 21 July 1941; his closest being on 11 July 1941, when he claimed a Ju 88 near Balta as his third personal victory. He was wounded in action on 26 July 1941 only to return to his regiment almost one year later, in April 1942.
