John -

S E C R E T
DUTY GROUP CAPTAIN’S DAILY RESUMÉ OF AIR OPERATIONS
Serial No 1759

Allied Expeditionary Air Force.
8 Oct - Day
Fighter and Fighter Bomber Operations -
1,301 U.S. aircraft attacked airfields and landing grounds. ………….38 enemy aircraft were destroyed, 2 probably destroyed and 32 damaged on the ground on various airfields at which 36 hangars are also claimed as destroyed……………8 U.S. aircraft are missing.
…………….

Since the 8th AAF did not fly operations on this date, this must the 9th AAF flying multiple missions.

I checked the following two references for you but neither offered anything helpful:

Miller, Kent D.. Fighter Units & Pilots of the 8th Air Force – September 1942 – May 1945; Volume 1: Day-to-Day Operations, Fighter Group Histories. Atglen (PA): Schiffer Publishing, 2001.
Wolf, William. American Fighter-Bombers in World War II: USAF Jabos in the MTO and ETO. Atglen (PA): Schiffer Publishing, 2003

You may have to look for unit histories for the 3 groups you mentioned.
