RAND has made available for downloading a number of papers edited in 1963 by the late George Reinhardt (USMC ace and F4U squadron commander) on airpower in counterinsurgency and unconventional warfare. These include papers on Burma (Chindits), Mediterranean (Yugoslavia and France) and Phillipines (Luzon) operations as well as post-1945 conflcits.
