Re: Searching identification Luft. a/c :Wrn 3827

There was also a Ju 88 A-4 W.Nr.3827, 9K+BR. It was built about Apr-42 by Henschel. Lost by 7.KG 51 on 13 Aug 42 on combat mission, possibly to Tuapse. Pilot, Krebs, Ltn. Alfred, MIA with crew, cause unknown. Source: LW Loss Report (microfilm roll #7). Actually there could be several more Luftwaffe aircraft with this W.Nr. The RLM "four digit" W.Nrs. were repeated for most types and it was pretty much a matter of how many had been built of that type before the switch came to "six digit" RLM W.Nrs. in 1942/43. It would help a lot to give any particulars of why you are searching that W. Nr., i.e. a photo, book or document reference, etc., so it could be linked to something. That would save a lot of wasted effort by people trying to look up information for the wrong subject.

Best regards,

Artie Bob
