Re: FW 200 Condor floatplane

If, and that's a big if, such a construct existed, then this most likely would have been the unit it was assigned to for trials:

10.(See)/LG 2
(Unit Code 6L+)

Formation and History. (Nov 38 - Oct 39)
Formed 1 November 1938 at Travemünde by renaming Lehrstaffel (See) to evaluate new types of maritime aircraft. Believed to have been attached to Erprobungskommando Pohle (Ekdo. 88) around August 1939. Transferred from Travemünde to Berlin-Werder as 10.(F)/LG 2 on 1 September with 8 He 111s, 3 He 115s and 1 Do 18 for attachment to Aufklärungsgruppe Ob.d.L.. Reported to have taken part in the campaign in Poland, but this cannot be confirmed. In any event, no losses were recorded for the campaign. The ultimate disposition of this Staffel is also uncertain, although it is believed to have been disbanded sometime in October 1939. Circumstantial evidence suggests it may have been absorbed into 1.(F) and/or 3.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. Ob.d.L.

FpN: (L 05872)

Staffelkapitän:
Maj. Karl-Heinz Wolff ( - ) 1.9.39

There doesn't seem to be much information on this Staffel. Perhaps it was a drawing board concept cobbled together by engineers at Travemünde and it never went any further than that.
