204 BAD bombing German artillery and mortar batteries at Sharlaevo and Gruzdeva. Nine Pe-2 bombers from the 6 BAP took off at 07:24 (M). Bombed from a height of 2400 m. Bombs fell on the eastern and southern outskirts of Gruzdeva. On withdrawn attacked by Bf 109 (Soviet sources claim 17 fighters involved. They claimed to have shot down 2 Me-109 and 4 He-113, damaged 1 Me-109).
