This story seems to suggest that a/the Libyan Clipper (also?) served with No. 3 Squadron RAAF. See http://www.3squadron.org.au/subpages/thompson.htm

Dates in story with reference to a/the Clipper are Feb. 11, 1942 and March 8, 1942.
