Gentlemen,
American war prizes were flown to Cherbourg by Col. Harold E. Watson and his "Whizzers" June/July 1945 where they were loaded on board HMS Reaper. It sailed from Cherbourg on 19 July and arrived at Newark, New Jersey on 1 August 1945,
