KG53 Heinkel losses December 1944
Hi guys
I am still endeavouring to find out further details of 12 He111Hs of II/KG53 that were lost due to the premature detonation of the V-1 warhead during flight. I believe these lossess occurred on the nights of 12 and 18 December 1944 when II/KG53 was operating from Wittmundhafen. To date, I haven't been able to establish identities or fates of any of the crews. Are there Luftwaffe personnel loss lists for this period? And Quartermaster-General Returns?
