Zorner

I am new to the forum and joined due to a research project in which I have become involved.

I am assisting with the story surrounding the crew of Halifax HR864 LQ-M from 405 Squadron, which was shot down over Holland on 25/26 July 1943 by Paul Zorner.

I want to present an accurate representation from the Luftwaffe perspective and a commemorative painting of the incident is in the works. I wish it to be visually accurate as possible.

Can anyone advise if any images of Zorner's BF110 G-4 (W. Nr. 6219) exist?

Does anyone know what the proper configuration (ie. tanks beneath wings / Lichtenstein 202 / 220) and markings for the aircraft would have been?

Does anyone know where this BF110 crashed, after its engine caught fire that night?

How would one access the original German flight logs / Zorners report / Squadron records for this night (forgive the lack of proper German Luftwaffe terminology)?

I have tapped out the internet resources I have found and books, including that of Night Fighters by David Williams.

Any assistance or direction is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Ben
