Larry,
I suspect that your Stab/JG 54 Bf 109 G-4 was in fact the Stab III./JG 54 aircraft. The Gruppe was at that time based at Oldenburg and equipped with the Bf 109 G-4 aircraft. Stab/JG 54 at that time, and I believe until the end of hostilities was equipped with the Fw 190 A aircraft.
