Re: Johann Krug in SCW

Just a curious finding: the JG 26 (Luftwaffe) ace Hans Krug had in his plane the motto of García Morato: Vista, suerte y al toro which is a somewhat direct reference to SCW - just a coincidence or a tiny possiblity that Hans Krug = Hannes Krug = Johannes Krug?

Edit: Johann Krug may have been in fact a Portuguese volunteer pilot Augusto Krug: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtop...47086#p1947086

More info about him (in Portuguese) and a photo can be found here: http://viriatosmilitaria.blogspot.fi...o-do-ar-4.html - if the language is a problem I can post a English translation here. More info (in Spanish) about Portuguese volunteer pilots - "Os Viriatos" fighting at the Nationalist side can be found here: http://www.requetes.com/viriatos.html

However there is still some puzzle to be solved - according to Portuguese info above Augusto Krug started to make operational flights only since August 1938 - thus the air victory claim of 27.12.1936 can not be attributed to him although it was certainly his Fiat CR 32 which was hit by enemy AA on 14.8.1938...
