Yes, the period after the "G" does muddy the water.
I also find it strange that the entire bottom row shows the number of semi-independent Züge attached to the Regiment, except for the Luftwaffe unit. This leads me to conclude that the period after the "1." is a typo and there is a good reason for that. In an Ln.-Rgt., 1. Kp. was a Betriebs-Kp. and was always under the I. Abt. Never under the III. Abt. Secondly, if all the others in the row are without a period and simply indicate the number of Züge of that particular type, then why is the Luftwaffe one different? Lastly, organic Züge were numbered with Roman numerals and not Arabic numbers. So the first Zug in a Kompanie would be written as "I. Zug/3. Kp. d. III. Btl."
