Re: Junkers Ju 87 Production at Dessau

Hello, German Aviation history enthusiasts!

I think that we can agree that German Aviation history is difficult and there are many minefields. One lesson that you must learn quickly is never trust previously published books/articles that are not written by someone who you know does his/her own research in the archives. An incredible amount of rubbish has been published and some people have apparently used more imagination than research, and when others reiterate what they have written, you get an effect that is almost impossible to stop.

To establish production figures and constructor's number ranges is a qualified task that requires many. many hours of work, both at the archives and at home. If you ask someone who has spent these hours on research to simply give you his results you can not expect to get an answer. Exchange is the keyword.

I like to visit this forum because now and then I find a piece missing in my jigsaws, and now and then I can help someone else with a missing piece. I appreciate when people share the result of their research, and when I see something that is clearly from a publication of the sort referred to above, I just skip it and look at the next entry. One thing that I find particularly useful is your lists of eBay images, Ed.
