The published ranges for such aircraft are one way. The actual operational radius will vary considerably depending upon factors that may be difficult to judge: final reserves, combat allowance at full throttle, take-off, landing and any formation allowance for example. As a good rule of thumb it can be taken as one third of the maximum range.

Data can be found in such works as the Putnam series of British aircraft companies, the RAF and the RN.RAF aircraft
