Adam I think that Carmsole Point mentioned in your post should read Carnsore Point in Co Wexford.
Chris, the bodies of Meier and Ehrmann landing on the Irish Coast is some distance from the Scillies area bearing in mind sea drift, which was why I was trying to determine time frames.
