I've only just picked up on what looks like a demarcation line on the forward cowl ring. Could that be a reflection of whatever is behind the camera? It's a single piece of metal (I think?) there is no "convenient"/intuitive reason to paint the bottom half in a darker colour.

My first impression was that it's all natural metal, though how about 75 over 76.....but re-attached upside down?
