You are right, 364th had P-38 on that date. I was assuming that you were talking about the "Windows for Remy" which is the well known event with the ammunition train exploding and the Fighter Group members helping to replace the stained glass windows post war. That was certainly the 364th FG but the explosion was on August 2nd 1944.
