The reason is very simple.
This unit was formed during June 1935 as 2.(Mehrzweck)/116, it became renamed to 1./KFlGr 206 on 1.10.36 and finally to 1./KFlGr 106 on 1.07.37.
The emblem was already present on He 60 aircraft from 1./KFlGr 206 in 1937 and was in use with 1./KFlGr 106 until 1941 on Ju 88A aircraft.
