Very, very interesting.
When you say Botschaft what exactly do you mean? My dictionary state it is either Embassy or more sinister Intelligence.
My guess is that the three aircraft were delivered with German civil registration to Spain plus perhaps one with STKZ SG+QW (can this be confirmed?). One photograph shows two He 111 with civil register D-AHOJ and D-AFFU(?), but are they really of the early version?
After delivery they were either stripped of paintwork or re-painted as 25-100 to 25-102 and finally incorporated in a special Spanish register M-CAxx. Possibly it was the other way around.
Anyone who has more details?
