As always your input is extremely welcome and you really are a great help to casual researchers such as myself.

The reason I asked the question is as a result of researching a Soldbuch belonging to a young Bordschutze who served in the following units (exactly as entered in his Soldbuch):

1./Ergänzungs Nahaufklärungsgruppe ‘Bromberg’ 17-01-44 – 07-06-44
4./Ergänzungs Nahaufklärungsgruppe ‘Bromberg’ 08-06-44 – 22-09-44
3./Ergänzungs Nahaufklärungsgruppe ‘Bromberg’ 23-09-44 – 25-01-45

So with over a year spent in the Gruppe I was wondering whether any operational missions were undertaken as 12 months does seem a long time (to myself at least).

Prior to that he also served in Fernaufklärungs Geschwader 101 ‘Perleberg’. Might you have any info on this unit also?
