the man is sitting as a Gefreiter in "red 10" from 2./JG 52 during summer or autumn 1939. The portrait shows him with the rank Obergefreiter and his uniform is absolutely clean.
I assume, he was part of the ground staff of that fighter group and was sitting in the fighter for a photo to be send home.
