Re: Fw 190 D-13 "Yellow 10" - some doubts with details
Kevin, Paul - thank you for your replies.
I know the "yellow 10" book, it's one of my favourite!
There I found in text, that main fuel tank cover was made of wood as well as the tail wheel leg access door.
But where are my doubts from?
On photos, which show Yellow 10 in derelict state the tail wheel access door is missing. The underbelly covers, I mean main fuel cover and rear MW / fuel tank rounded hatch are invisible. Were they still present during first restoration? What about radio and fuselage access panel?
During recent restoration the metal fuel tank cover was installed...
I know the photos from LEMB, I also get the "modellers eye" series book about Doras - well still no answer to my questions.
I wonder if somebody know, what kind of discussed elements were installed in similar Weserflug built machines, I mean late D-9's?
all the best
Kuba
