Hello Rainer,
The photo is of V4+FA - your uncle's aircraft. The crash site was recorded by the East Sussex Police as 'one mile north of Camber, one mile west of the Camber road at East Guldeford.'
Another He111 V4+RW of 6./KG1 also came down in the same field the same afternoon. The crews were all taken prisoner by troops from the Royal Irish Fusiliers.
You can ignore all reference to 'Horsham' with regards to this incident. Frank Mason simply got it wrong.
