Re: Looking for photos of Erich Handke and Georg Petz, crew Martin Drewes NJG1
Theo, cheers!
Have you tried to contact his only son? When I visited him, back in 1996, he showed me two mervellous Albums of pictures taken of his time with the Heer (Pz.Rgt. 6) and LW. There was a Green Album (for his Zerstörer time) and a Black Album (for his NJG 1 time) with hundreds of pictures, of great Historical interest, the planes he flew on training, etc...Of course, being a Gentleman too, I did not asked to photograph them and did not wanted to disturb this GENTLEMAN that was Martin.
The second option is: He published his own "soft" memories, in Portuguese and German language. Maybe you can contact the Editors to publish some of the pictures depicted there. I saw once at Ebay a Picture of Martin Drewes in Holland, without T-shirt, seated on a table, writing a report....but the price went to the skies, as it was supposed to go.
By the way...the "Community" is awaiting your 2nd Edition anxiously...hopefully on a accessible price in a dozen of parcels...mostly for us from the South Lands...
All the best and CAVOK SKY,
Adriano
