Re: Information Concerning the Loss of Alfred Felix - 6th July 1942 over El Alamein

This is what I find in Heinz Rökker's Chronik of I./NJG 2:

Shot down after combat with a Beaufighter over the front in Egypt.
Lt. Wiedow is buried in El Alemein, Gruft 2, Uffz. Danzinger (bf) and Uffz. Felix in Gruft 7.
Lt.Wiedow was holder of a EK.I and recorded 4 victories:

1. Beaufighter south-east of Malta, 17:45 hrs.,as a member of the Stab. 23/1/42
2. Blenheim north-east of Derna, 13:30 hrs., as a member of the Stab. 14/6/42
3. Wellington, 01:28 hrs., as a member of the Stab. 05/07/42
4. Wellington, 03:20 hrs., as a member of the Stab. 05/07/42

Hptm. Heinz Rökker was a long time member of I./NJG 2 recording 64 victories. The last one on 15/03/45 a Mosquito in the area of the airfield of St.Truiden (St.Trond) Belgium.
There is a foto of Lt.Wiedow in the book, the caption mentioning him as Adj. - I./NJG 2.
Hope this will help.
Kind regards,

Dirk
