In actuality, though, it is from an old Northern German story for kids. Gulle and Ille. Search around the forums here and you'll find it. I'd start around 2006 and go from there.

I'm not able to read the book extract but - to make short - does this mean (do you mean) that "Gulle" is one form of the English "Gull" ???
