3/JG27.
Messerschmitt Bf109E (3630). Shot down by fighters during combat over the Ashdown Forest, 9.45am. Crashed into Cinder Hill Pond, Horsted Keynes, nr Haywards Heath. Uffz. Alfred Sander (F) killed. Aircraft a write-off.
