I've always wondered why this Lancaster (W4107 49 Sq.) was not restored to flying status after its wheel down landing at the Channel Isle of Sark on November 21,1942 after a raid on Stuttgart.
From all accounts, it landed with the wheels down, thus preventing any major structural damage.
