Re: Claims for JG52-aces (Kuban)

Hello,

out of time a bit, but ...

Just started a final analysis (day-by-day and minute-by-minute) of Kuban air battles Apr.-Jun.43. As always, some new questions arise.

About Willi Nemitz. If I understand right, the time 10:40 is from NVM.
Soviet aviation is absent in the air at 10:40=11:40 msk. 4 LaGG-3 and 1 La-5 (249.IAP) exactly at 10:40=11:40 msk began the take-off from Nizhestebliewskaja airfield, ~60 km from the area of main dogfights (Abinskaja). They had an air combat from around 11:00=12:00 msk, s.Sgt Ivanov claimed a damaging of a Bf109. More interesting, s.Lt Skryabin (the pilot of the sole La-5) reported that had a technical failure and tried to exit from dogfight chased by 3 Bf109 at low level and one of Bf109s collided with the ground 2 km NE Neberdzhaewskaja. It isn't exact place of Nemitz's crash but relatively close.

Returning to the time of Nemitz's crash.

Whether the other mentions about time that sortie exists?
Maybe it was a bit later (two II./JG52 claims were at 10:55-10:56 = 11:55-11:56 msk)

The crash in question was mentioned in phone call between officers of German 9.Inf.Div. at 11:25 = 12:25 msk but it was undoubtedly some time after the crash.

Best regards,
Andrey
